    So why don’t you show me what you drew for that “Folktale Week” thingummybob on Instagram? “Huh?” I know I’m long dead, dears. But I might as well talk to you direct because my daughter has become some kind of zombie.  I certainly never spent this long on the phone.

    Why aren’t you cartooning? “I’ve been keeping up to date with my Instagram feed.”  I don’t care who you’ve been feeding. You should be cartooning.   “But Mum there’s so much stuff to look at on here.” Gordon Bennett! Give me strength.

    What’s the latest with that animation thing then? “Well I sent off the link to my video …” “But nothing’s happened. And nothing new has gone up on the challenge site for two or three weeks …” Ha! That’s it then. You’ve broken the Interwebs!

    You’re drawing again, aren’t you.  “Mmmm … perhaps.” You just won’t get on and animate us!   “Sorry, Mum …” “… and I got my watercolours out too.” Shame on you.

    If I’d known you weren’t putting me in your cartoon … I wouldn’t have worn my hat. It’s a great disappointment, dear. You know that don’t you. I think it’s quite unkind of you.
