After years of mutual bickering and shirty jibes, I view my mother Syb and I as being very different. I am like my Dad, I think to myself. But at a ripe old age Syb dies and I come to the very shocking realisation that …
I am my mother.
It's never too late to learn to animate
“I put some scraps of your clothes into the rag-rugging I was re-making for your granddaughter, Mum.” Scraps of my clothes? What are you talking about? What clothes? “A keepsake, Mum …. you know.” What keepsake? “Of you, Mum …. You’re dead.”

Am I? ….. That’s a nuisance.
Finally, I made the The Hat. My first… rather rough…. lip-synced animation .
This is the hat that I decide to talk about.
I have to learn to record some dialogue to insert into the animation sequence. First – find my microphone. Next – record the dialogue, get some sound-editing software, convert the file, import the sound into the animation setup and finally … practice making my mouth move.
It took a while.
