….I don’t know why you won’t make a cartoon about a cat. Do you remember we’d go to the pictures and Smutty would be waiting for us outside the cinema when we came out?

“I don’t remember … I think I was too young. I do remember him liking to sit on the white line in the middle of the road, though.”

“But Mum … I’m still not making  a cartoon about a cat.”
